So i recently downloaded instagram again it was working just fine the first two days but then it started to show this glitch. Even after I've opened my dms it shows them as unread and when i go and open them again and return to main dm area it still shows them as unread moreover when i text someone it shows my messi as unread too. Can someone please help me to fix this.
System Configuration: Android / Chrome 87.0.4280.86
Just report the issue inside the app. This has been faced by many users earlier this year but Instagram had solved the issue. You can check this - https://help.instagram.com/381579045265733 to see how to report. Also before doing that see if your app is up to date.
