Headphones not work in video call

Hello
I have issue about use my Sony headphones while I call video call on Messenger, connect headphones via lighting to iPhone 7 plus- always sound go from phone no headphones ...
Sony headphones and mic are work great on everything else in phone ..
Do You know what to do?
I try to check setings and restart but doesnt help me with. + I did system update and try all setings????

Hello, the lightning cable should be able to send data from your headphones...

When using my headphone with mic on my iPhone, I find that it will use the phone sound if I connect the headphone's after the call has already started.

Are your headphones bluetooth? If they are, you could use this type of connection as opposed to the cable.

Regards
