I loose my data from my 4 tb seagate external hard disk, please help

So the thing is, I am trying to reinstall windows on my pc. While all of my 5-6 external hard drives are connected to the pc. And windows installation completed and i open my computer, suddenly I saw my hard disk is empty. Like a new. But before windows installation I have around 2 tb of my important data. (Note: I install my on 500gb ssd). Please helping me. And tell why this happen and how I get my data back.

Hello, it appears you may have accidentally reformatted the hard drive. You should be able to find some form of data recovery software, such as Ease Us.

However recovering a 4TB could be costly on some of the premium recovery softwares.
