Hotmail messages delayed
Closed
Hello,
People with hotmail addresses arrive at my GMX inbox hours after being sent by hotmail.
This appears to happen only from hotmail addresses.
The people having those hotmail email addresses would not know how to delay emails. The times vary from an hour to 20 hours.

Hello, you may want to check if you have Greylisting enabled. Greylisting is an anti-spam tool, where the mail transfer agent will temporarily reject emails from senders that it does not recognise.
Turning off Greylisting will let more emails get to your inbox (but can also open you up to more spam mails).
Regards

Thank you for your reply.
I do not know what a Greylist is or where to find the setting.
Upon further investigation, it appears that the problem is on the GMX end.
GMX appears to have a filter in their server and check the incoming email for being spam. If there are more than a specific number of spams from an IP address, it is blocked from further email receipts temporarily.
I suspect that the emails I am trying to receive are misjudged for being spam.
I am now communicating with GMX to clear up this issue.
