Hi,
Below the old email address, click Add another email or mobile number and enter your current email address. Click Add and wait for the confirmation message sent to that address. Once you've confirmed the email, you'll be able to set your current email address as your primary contact info.
In case Facebook still doesn't let you update your primary address, I suggest you to try using another web browser or try with the Facebook app. If you're using the app, try with your computer instead.
