How can I recover my instagram account? Closed

Hello, 

So, today i had some problems with my phone and i had to factory reset it, losing all my 2fa codes from that google authenticator app. Now, when i try to connect on instagram, i need that 6 digit code. What can i do? i also have access to the email and i even tried to contact insagram's support. they requested a selfie of me holding a piece of paper with my account's username and a code on it. After i sent them the requested selfie, they told me that "It looks like two-factor authentication has been turned off for your account, and you should now be able to log in." but i still need the code to enter on my account. Please help me

Hi,

As you've noticed, you're not the only person who's facing this issue. I suggest you to wait for at least a week for Instagram to disable the two-factor authentication for your account. Don't attempt accessing your account during this period.

If your account is still blocked due to the two-factor authentication after one week, try using the "Forgot Password" link on the Instagram sign in page. Then, with your email address or phone number, you can perform the recovery steps to reset your password.

In case resetting your password didn't solve the issue, try following the instructions described on the Instagram Help Center to recover your account. Alternatively, try sending a new request to Instagram to confirm your identity.
