Ipod nano 5th generation wont turn on

Hi. I just got a brand new ipod nano 5th generation. I have charged it, plug it into my laptop to add music, but when I unplug it from the power cable it goes dead. I have press the menu + middle button for 12 seconds but nothing happens. Please help.

Hi,

Does the iPod turn back on if you plug it into a power source? If so, the battery is certainly defective. I recommend that you ask the store for a replacement.

Hello,

Please help, My iPod nano 7th generation doesn't turn on unless plugged in and then once it just flashes a white screen with apple logo on and off, it does this for 10-20 minutes and then turns on but once I unplug it, it just turns and doesn't turn on. Please help.

Hello. My ipod touch 5th generation won't turn on... I tried charging it, and holding down the power button, and nothing. Just a black screen. And I'm pretty sure the battery life wasn't close to being dead... Please help!

Hello,

I have a ipod nano 2nd generation. It has the white screen of death. I have read where pushing and holding certain buttons will reset it. But I am ignorant of the terms used for the buttons. What buttons do I push - MENU, >>|, >|, |

iPod won't play my songs?

Hello,

My iPod turns on fine. My songs appear fine on it. But as soon as I click on play button, it starts acting weird. It does not play songs. When I try to forward the songs, it just resets itself.

I have tried everything possible but nothing seems to work. My iTunes does not detect my iPod. So, I cannot even reset it. And when I reset it manually, nothing happens. It just stays the same as before.

Please help!

Hello,
My iPod Nano, 5th generation, is less than 1 month old. I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my 15 year old daughter. Today, while the iPod was charging, my daughter found her iPod, while still plugged in, with a white screen. She held down the Menu and Center buttons, and then the iPod screen turned completely black. We have connected it to the computer (via USB port) and computer nor iTunes recongizes the iPod. It does not appear to be charging, it will not turn on, and we are at a total loss.
Please help with any/all suggestions....
