My screen does not display anything when the laptop is switched on for a long time and when working on the laptop the screen sometimes goes blank

The best laptop screen black occurs when there is a corrupted graphics driver or a problem with the LCD display back light. To test the display, you can attach an external monitor and restart the computer. If an image displays on the external monitor, there might be a graphics driver conflict with the notebook LCD display that leads to laptop screen black but still running.

It is a driver problem i guess. You should update you windows driver first to fix this issue. Go with advance driver updater, it is the best tool for update your outdated / corrupts drivers.
