Can't sign in to msn! >:(

I recently installed the new version of msn (2009), and now it won't let me sign in; every time I enter my e-mail adress and password a small window pops up and says that my contact list isn't available "yet".

Dear User,

Please check your time and date settings and also if your timezone is not wrong!
Then go in Control Panel and open your firewall settings to see if it's blocking windows live messenger!
If so, just add windows live messenger in the exception list.
