Hello,

WhatsApp gifs.

I have WhatsApp linked to my PC.

I hate the phone’s keyboard so I use the PC.

Windows 10.

I like to use Gifs and Stickers.

I have saved some gifs to my PC.

When I click on them, they open in MS Photos.

I get the animation.

However, when I send it on WhatsApp, there is no animation. Just a still of the first frame.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

It seems that WhatsApp for PC isn't supporting GIFs.

As a workaround, send your GIF files to yourself by email and download them on your phone. Then, you can share them to your WhatsApp app.

Also, as you don't like writing on your phone keyboard, type your message in the email so that you can paste the text on your phone.

Hi, Thanks. I can successfully send Gifs if I use the Smiley next to the message window. It’s only the ones I download from Sites that offer Gifs for download that don’t work. As I said. If I open those same Gife in Photo, they work fine.

For some reasons, only GIFs that have been downloaded by the user don't work. If you use the emoji, they work, indeed. I don't know whether it's by design or not. But if you follow the method above, you'll be able to send your own GIFs on WhatsApp.

i'm not sure who helpios is, but based on that solution you may as well write a note and send it by carrier pigeon.
