PlayStation 3 internet

Hello,
My PlayStation 3 system is picking up my cradlepoint router's signal and is obtaining the ip address, but it fails to find an internet connection. Also, i once went straight to my browser and it required the password located on the router. So I entered it in and it still didn't give me access. Someone please help.
