hi,
if you want to connect the desktop wirelessly, make sure that it has a wireless device.
or you may connect it using ethernet cables.
to create the connection, go to control panel > network connections and click create a new connection.
then follow the wizard.

Get a PCI or USB wireless adapter, then plug into desktop and install driver, after that configure that wireless adapter to connect to wireless network.
