Monitor issue??

Hello,
I have a HPvs15 Monitor on a Compaq Presario. I have had for about 3 yrs. Had a virus issue and "friend" repaired. ( I think ) Well now when the PC has been on for a little bit the monitor flashes in sets of 3 for about a total of 20 seconds. I can still type and when it stops everything I typed IS there. BUT the flashing is annoying plus it isnt suppossed to do it. Please Help! Is this a major issue? Or can it be repaired easily? I have disconnected everything from PC and checked all the wires to make sure everything is connected properly and tight. Thanks for any info you may have to help out! ANNOYED KAT IN FLORIDA

Hi Kat,


I think that it is a virus, please have a complete scan on your computer.

And install and have regular update.


i may be because of your monitor also :(

Hello,
every single time I turn it on it says power saving and go to sleep it was just working until I moved it to a different spot in my room everything else is working but the monitor keeps saying power saving mode it won't show my desktop or anything I checked the cords and I'm pretty sure they aren't loose help me please

Hello,
I am trying to connect my laptop to a monitor. The monitor worked fine with a pc when I last used it, a while ago. I have recently used the same laptop with another monitor, and that worked fine. But those two together... the best I managed was to get the monitor to show me the laptop's desktop for 2 seconds before going back to safe mode. Any idea what's going on??

MY CPU and my desktop we're working earlier today.. The problem I have is that, after I had moved my cpu to another room due to the lack of space we had in the previous room... My cpu's desktop just says d-sub no signal while everything else is working perfectfly... Please help I really need my cpu and with all these problems im having im unable o complete some assignments
Any help will be muc appreciated

Hello,

Yesterday, I was thinking of upgrading my RAM. I bought 512 MB SD RAM, but when I opened my CPU I realized that I am not sure if my machine has SD RAM in it. So, I didn't put the new RAM. I then tried to switch on the machine to run some utility for checking my RAM type.

Unfortunately, when I switched on my machine, my display didn't come up. Now, I am having no clue what went wrong as everything looks fine but there is no display.

When I disconnected my monitor from the CPU, I get a test message as no signal. My monitor looks fine. Please help in sorting the issue out.

My Lenova Desktop Computer won't turn on, stays in Power Saving Mode.

My PC turns on the light lights up the monitor just says power saving mode and then just turns off and sits there.
Removed the RAM and carefully cleaned it with Eraser.
I also removed the CMOS battery and replaced after a minute or more but I can't get away with the issue here.

PLEASE HELP
