No icons, start bar. MMB2_Client error

Hello,
I am having problems booting up Win XP. When booting up, will get an error
MMB2_Client
Run-time error '20000':
No DNS entries found, MX Query cannot continue.

If I click OK, windows will appear to finish loading but will only load the desktop picture, no icons, start bar, etc.
I do not have a restore disk and the same thing happens in Safe Mode.
Any ideas would be appreciated!

hi,

after pressing OK to terminate the error message, press Ctrl + alt + del buttons together to get in the task manager.

then click on new task and type explorer.exe and hit enter.

this will bring back the icons and taskbar.

repair your windows to get rid of that error message.
