Sata hdd is not listed in F2 and F10

Hello,

i have dv 6500 hp latop. I wanted to downgrade the notebook os from vista to hp. I have tried all the possible steps to solve. i have got all the drivers. while inserted the win xp cd and went to setup page. the n1 is unable to detect the drivers. i have also installed the sata drivers and nlite to solve the issue but it is of no use. I tried to disable sata hdd drivers but in bios page it is not listed.
so how can i install the win XP without disabling the sata?
