ACER Laptop Screen

Hello,

My name is Roborob

I am working on an ACER laptop for a customer and I had to change out the power port. So I changed it out and when I went to power on the laptop the screen stayed off. The Harddrive, Cd rom and fan are all running but the screen stays black. Could this be the motherboard going or is there an easier fix?
