Re-installed and now have 2 same OS

Hello,
I used the reinstallation disc for windows xp home edition SP2, and now for some reason have two Windows XP Home Edition OS, that i have to choose from when I turn on my Dell Inspiron 1100.

Can anyone give me any hints or explainations to why this has happened?

It works fine when i choose the first option, but I do not really feel like shoosing everytime i turn it on.

Hello There,

You installed Windows on the other partition (Extended or Secondary)

You should have Formatted the c: partition where the old windows is located,

I will advise you to format the 2 partitions and then install New Windows in C: partition (Primary)
