S-Video - Lost sound on Laptop Closed

Question

I connect my Laptop (HP Pavillion dv6000) to my Tv (Samsung, new, not sure model) using an S-Video cable for the first time.  Worked Great, I ran my sound through my laptop still which was fine for what I was doing.  When I unplugged the S-video cord from TV and Laptop and tried to use Laptop next day...I lost my sound on my laptop.

I have not tried plugging the S-video back in to TV and computer to see if that works yet but I dont think that will help.

Can anyone help?

Hi,

i was also running from same issue as you are having currently.
when i connected s-video from my laptop to my Sony TV i got clear image but no sound.
then i figured out that if you are using Video1 of your TV then connect the audio jack (red and black jacks) to red and white  Video1 outputs of TV 
if you are using Video2 on TV then connect the  audio jacks to respective Video2 outputs.
