Wont boot up

Hello,
hope u can help my asus x58l only boots up to the point where window vista is about to come on then it just leaves me with a blank black screen with cursor flashing can u help!!!!!!!! thanks

Dear Sir,

You will need the recovery disc to repair windows,

Your system has been corrupted

Just insert the recovery disc and press F10 at startup then follow the instructions
