Hello, I am having the same problem with my HP DV6000, OS Vista Basic. While the power is on the screen stays black, no POST, nothing at all on the display. The HDD spins up, but the HDD indicator does not come on and will not boot. The DVD drive will spin up and attempt to read a disc when I insert one in the tray, but still will not boot. I tried turning off the Laptop, removing the battery,holding the power off for.....ect... but, it did still will not work. I still have black screen. Help....
