Vebatim 160GB Portable HDD "Not Responding&qu

Hello,

I onw a Verbatim 160GB Portable HDD. Yesterday, when I connected it, suddenly the Path in My Computer named is Drive I, not the usual name, and now MY Computer is "Not Responding" when I plug it in. I have information for a court case on this drive,, and would like to know if someone can put me on the right path in fixing this, or identifying a problem. The computer I use is a Dell Inspiron 1525, and I run Windows Vista Ultimate on a Celeron 2,13gHz, and a gig Ram.

Please please help me correct this!
