To convert from Vista to XP
Closed
Hello,
As I mentioned yesterday about my Sony Vaio VGN-FZ38GU which had caught a Virus and could not change back to XP after cleaning the Virus. Thank you for the advise about how to change from Vista to XP. But I do not have a Technician, is possible to get a guidance from you step by step how to re-install the Xp Windows back into my Sony. As i mentioned yesterday, when I first bought the machine Sony Company had configured the machine in such a manner that I could use XP Windows and said that ever in future I wanted to change into Vista I just had to press F10. Now this is completely on Vista how do i go step by step to XP windows?
Thank you very much for your input.

Hello shainaz,
This is quite simple, all you will have to do is to access your BIOS,
Press F2 or F3 when the laptop starts, then change the SATA configuration
Set the boot priority to CD/DVD drive and then insert the Windows XP disc
then restart your computer to boot from drive
Follow the instructions, format the partition to NFTS
Thanks
