HDD problem

Hello,
my desktop shut down instantly due to power failure as my UPS is not working. after that when i want to start the system it didnt work & blank screen & no beeps . i changed the RAM but after verifying DMI pool data it stops n doesnot boot to windows XP. kindly tell me is it HDD problem or else & how can i repapir it.

your operating system are corrupted...maybe due of different the current...coz as you say your ups is not working...just reformat...and your problem are solved but your files are.........
