Problem with monitor settings or what?

Hello,
I have nVidia 9400GS. My system does not show anything before login screen if linux is installed. It shows nothing when windows is installed. All this time monitor shows 'no signal'.
If i use onboard graphics it works ok.

earlier it was working fine but the problem started once i connected another monitor with sleep functionality.

Please help me

Dear Sir,

The problem can actually source out from poor quality or damaged cable from the CPU to the monitor.

Please try using another cable and this should solve the problem.
