Sound/Volume issues

Hello,
I can not find the sound/volume icon on my task bar. It has vanished.
I go to start/programes/accessories/entertainment and it shows empty.
I think think that I need to reinstall this program.
Can you please assist me in this matter?

Please reinstall it with the installation

CDs that you obtained at purchase.
