Pleaase help! msn still wont work

Hello, when i go to sign into Msn using my email it wont let me it comes up saying " We could not sign you into windows live messenger because there is a problem with your windows live id", so i tried resetting password but i have forgotten my secret answer, so i tried linking my old email account that was working 5 minutes ago, and once i linked it, it has done the same thing to my old email address..

Error code: 80048831

Dear Al,

This problem could be resulting from the MSN Messenger itself since you have tried two different log ins.

You should uninstall it and reinstall it. This should solve your problem.

Okay thanks heaps, will give it a go. . . the only thing si when i used my old email, it only stopped working when i linked my old email to my more recent one. .
