Could not detect wifi signal
Closed
Hello,
I have a problem w/ my HP pavilion dv6000 about the wireless switch. This problem occur right after i downloaded the service pack 2 for vista. After rebooting it wouldn't detect wireless signal and the light not turn into blue. I downloaded a driver from HP site a Broadcom wireless Lan Driver, and it wouldn't appear on the device manager. If anybody has a solution for this kind of problem, pls. need your advice.

I had a similar problem with a Compaq when I was installing Windows 7, I downloaded a driver that was for the wireless card that was a Intel driver, maybe that could work for you? Not sure of the name of the driver now but im sure you could find one.
I also was installing the broadcom one but I think its the Intel/Atheros one you need to install and NOT the broadcom
You need to remove them drivers and then install the new ones you have downloaded, more than likely in the vista download you did it installed newer drivers that don't work.
