Hardware error, black screen, wont start up!

Hello,
My friend had slammed my laptop on the table but not TOO violently and after that my computer wont start up windows and says theres a hardware error and I only have TWO options. start windows normally or try to fix the problem (recommend) it says but either one leads me to a black screen and after a few minutes a white cursor pops up and thats it! I don't believe I have any disks to recover with. PLEASE help!

recovery disks are not going to help you. Most likely you have destroyed the hard disk and need to replace it.
