Hello,
I would like to link my new Linksys wireless router (WRT54G2) to the modem, but the plug on the fixed cable from the modem does not correspond to the socket on the router. What can I do about this?

Do you have a USB cable from the modem? The router and LAN connections require RG45 cables.
I suggest you communicate with the broadband provider to determine the correct cables.
Good Luck
