No audio output device is installed???? Help!

Hello,

I have an hp dv5000 that had windows XP on it. I upgraded to windows vista home basic and now i have no sound! I installed real tek and driver detective and did all the trouble shooting i could do and nothing works.

Can someone help me please!

you must install the drivers compatible for vista

download it from official hp website on link below:

it wont let me download it. It says "problem loading page'' every single time....

Then you have a problem with your connection as well, as i am on the page right now, try again to load it !

my connection is good. everything else is lighting fast. It's like the site just won't me download it. when i tried to upgrade my driver windows said that the best driver for my computer was already installed. still no sound though. It has something to do with me upgrading to vista...
