Internet will not work

Hello,
My internet connection is not working. I'm using a wired connection, and I have tried the steps that you mentioned above regarding the defaults. That did not work. Now when I click on the internet Icon its slow loading and it saying action canceled internet explorer was unable to link the webpage you requested. I have google set as the home page. Please help! Thanks

To re-install the system.
