System recovery files

Hello,
Thanks for the below solution, I am having winXP prof, I did go in Start/all program/accessories/system tools/backup..... But my now dumb question is which files should I save for system recovery. As I thought that by running this system recovery files I will not have to download all my driver files, all my settings etc except data which i have already done the backup. Can someone please guide me what files do I need to do a backup for the above please.
