Can't boot up Closed

Question

Hello, I have a dell inspiron the dell logo comes up but immediately go to error message.  I called dell and they sent me os disk.  I can hit f12 and could read cd but I dont want to lost my files.  How do I save my files when I can even boot up?

Put the disk in when it says hit any key to boot from cd hit enter. let it load and when it finds your system. choose "R" for repair let it load . And this should fix your logon, you won't loose any files, you may have to adjust you graphic properties. If the disk you have is the same as your current operating system this should work. Thsi will take at least 40 mins.
