i discover my window xp sound device can not work.....where can i install b sound device in free of charge...

i formatted my computer from window vista to window xp. after that i discover my laptop can not play movie, video and even no sound for my laptop.... my laptop also can not open game as no direct X..
my laptop profile is dell studio 1435.....
help me........as i want hear song......plz gv me the link for download........the sound device
