PROBLEM WITH SIMS 2 PETS HELP!Closed

Hello,
i really need help i just bought sims 2 pets, when i put the disk into the computer it comes up with select language so i select english then it says this program requires a copy of sims 2 please install, is there any why i can solve this without having to buy sims 2 ? 
PLEASE HELP :(

You must have a copy of The Sims 2 on your computer. The Sims 2 Pets is only an expansion, which means it is not the whole program. Sorry. Since the Sims 2 has been out for awhile I'm sure you can find some used ones for about 10 bucks on the internet or in some stores.

Well there is a way around that goto your local library if they offer PC games to check out and if they have sims 2 check it out install it then install your Sims 2 pets and you should only need your expansion pack to run it
