Hello,
OK I'm at the disk management in vista, I have a 500gb hard drive and here's my partitions
C-VISTA 255.72 GIGS
D-MEDIA 150 GIGS
E-RECOVERY 10 GIGS
Unallocated 50 GIGS
What I want to do is extend drive d with space from unallocated . But D is a logical drive that I split off of the c drive, but now I'm running out of space in d. when I shrink the c drive and gives me the unallocated space of my chosen file size but when I right click my logical drive (D) the extend volume option is grayed out. Is there anyway around this?

hi there,

right click on the drive you want to extend

and select extend partition and use the unallocated space

Thanks
