Hi there,

You will have to purchase a usb cable to connect the printer to pc via usb,the cable is not provided with the printer package, you can check it on the manual book. There will be a cd in the package, insert it in your cd drive and install the driver till it doesnt ask you to plug the printer to it.

For more information you can consult manual book or revert back.

Thanks

The cable is not the problem. I have also made sure my printer was plugged itto the electrical outlet.

My new computer, HP Pavilion p6157c Desktop PC, has an 64 bit Operating System.

My previous computer, Pavilion a410n had a 32 bit Operating System.

My Brother HL-2170W printer was working fine then.

Can I make this printer compatible to the new system?

I can tell you that this 64 bit operating System is causing my great headaches. I have tons of information in my Free Agent portable hard drive that is not accessible because it was created in a 32bit Operating System.

If you know about this issue please let me know.

Thank you for your recommendation.
