Pc shuts down by itself

Hello,

this morning when i was at my office i notices a trange sound coming from my computer. as if a wire touching a fan. i didnt put so much attention in that and continued my work but after some times the noise stopped and just after the sound had stopped my computer will just shut down by itself without giving me any warning and when i switch it on i can use it only for about 10minutes and the same thing happen again.

any clues of what should i do with it please?

hi normally this a hardware problem.(normally).your system normally shuts down to save any further damage if your processor,power pack or fans have any overheating probs or any hardware failiures.viruses and trojuns can do this but it is not common. the first thing i would do is open it up and check the fans to see if they are clogged up,expecially the processor fan,this is one of the main causes of desktops screwing up.nobody ever tells you to clean them lol .i have lost 3 towers to overheating.if it is not a hardware prob i would back upeverything i need and reinstall a fresh windows.this is extreme but guarenteed to get rid of viruses ,good luck
