Screen goes bleank hen fully opened Closed

Question

Hello,

My screen is blank when ibook is fully opened. If I almost close it I can see fine. VERY DIFFICULT TO OWRK THAT WAY!

ANy guesses? Please help

probably a damaged display cable (fixable) 

in mean time if you have a second monitor or flat panel display you can use it piggy backed via the video out port on lap top.

though there is the possibility of cracking in the main / logic board  common with older I books 600 Mhz - 1.25 Ghz
after time.
