Sims 3 loading trouble

Hello,
sooo ive owned the sims three for a while now and have had no problem until recently. Now it will barely get through loading until it freezes and i have to restart my computer. I've googled problems with the game and i think my problem is that our video card or whatever it is is not strong enough for it? I also looked and i have the Intel(R) G965 Express Chipset Family; I think that's the video card? Any help?
It also might be that my computer doesnt have enough RAM or GB, I dont know the difference..
