Headphone not working on my XP

Hello,
Please help friends!!!my headphones arent working on my computer,nor my speakers.It was all perfect until i bought a new headphone.i am desperate and want to listen to music,as i am a musician.Please help meeee!i tried all the above solutions,,nothing workd.I first thought that my Creative soundcard was not plugged properly.But that wasnt d problem.Then i installed the sound drivers.Nothing.PLEAAAAASSE HEEELLLLPPPP!!!!
