Help! My Dell Laptop screen is black!!

Hello,

i have a mini dell notebook and my screen is black and it wont "turn on".
It turns on right i see the Windows XP thing come up but afterwards its black!!!
HELP PLEASE!!


*The thing i did, i remember was that i was trying to fix the screen resolution and i disabled the monitor. :{
If thats any help.
