Question

Hello,
How linux is installed??
When i installed 8.10 and tried to play music/vedio,plugins were asked to download.How is it done??

Linux can be installed in the following manner
 
    1. In Already windows loaded O/S. Make sure that minimum 6GB free space available. Ensure this by going to computer management and by deleting one existing partition.

    2. Insert the RHEL-4 or 5 first CD  and select Boot from CDROM from BIOS set up.
 
    3. Install linux either graphically or text based by creating required  mandatory partitions such as / , /root, /var, /home.
   
    4. Format the partitions with Ext3 and get it loaded.
    
    5. Keep supply the required information.

    6. After installation , again put CD-01 for reboot.
      

In linux u can not play media player mp-3 directly. It requires Real player RPMs( RedHat Package Mangement ) to be loded.
