does it also do numbers for the u,i,o and j,k,l and m keys ? if so, you have turned on the NumLock feature that laptop keyboards have. This was put into laptops because they don't have a numeric keypad like desktop keyboards. Find the key marked NumLck and press it down (it may require you to also press Fn at the same time).
