Dell Latitude screen goes blank

Hello,

I have a dell latitude c610 i have had to reinstall windows xp sp2 or 3 my screen goes blank during installation. It goes blank at the 9 minutes remaining which is the "saving your settings" step. In the bios I have put all power saver to disabled,this happens with ac or dc power, in the bios i have selected "system" for my video. I am at my wits end. I have done a Hard drive diagnogtics it has passed
