Hello,
I would like to know if someone here can help me out. I have an HP Pavillion Desktop p6320y (sata connections). I also have a brand new 500gb HDD (ide) that I want to add (Both HDD are WD) . I purchased an " ide to sata mini vertical bridge" to connect the old hdd to my new system. I can get it setup and recognized but when my pc boots it hangs at the opening HP screen until I hit enter or press a mouse button. Is there a way to fix this so it boots straight to windows?

Please let me know if you need more info, thanks in advance

Hi there,

Instead you can purchase an ide enclosure and fit the hard drive in it and use it as external hard drive by usb.

Thanks
