Hello,
how do i carry out total restore to factory settings on my Dell Lap top.

you should have the recovery discs when you bought the laptop.
you could call Dell and purchase another one.
alternatively, it could have a restore partition on the drive.
watch whilst its booting up and see if it says anything like "press F9 to restore"
