Memory back

Hello,
i did recovery on my computer by mistake and now i dont have all the things i had since i cant find the back up disk.still my computer shows only 40 gb of memory. how can i get my stuff back or better yet just get my memory back?

i did recovery on my computer by mistake and after i did that i lost 140 gb of different stuff i had.
eventhough it is not in my computer my memorie shows that i still have it there.
question is how do i getmy memory back if not my stuff. i look everywhere and used a coupke of programs and seems like all my stuff is gone.what i prefer to do is get my 140 gb of memory back how do i reset my computer so that it has the memory back? thanx for your help.
