Outlook office 2007

Hello,
I have just reinstalled xp home. l try to open outlook office 2007, express word etc and some other programs from old format in SEARCH BOX and they wont open, an error message box opens saying.
Problem with shortcut
big red X this action is only valid for products that are currently installed.
What does this mean?
Is there any way of retrieving it ?

Dear Sir,

There is a possibility that the shortcuts have a problem. Please consider getting to the program files and checking for the applications. If they won't open, it will imply that the a problem might have occurred during the installation. Please uninstall it and reinstall so have the problem solved.
