No display on Laptop

Hello,

I was trying to use a new monitor with my laptop. I got the new one to work but the laptop monitor stopped working. I messed around with display settings, driver properties and somehow disabled my monitor. Now the computer turns on fine and displays windows xp but after that the screen turns black. The monitor is on and I can hear noise prompts but there is no display. I've tried safe mode and it won't load fully. Please Help!
